Greetings from Omega

In our last couple newsletters I've given some information about two of the three main characters here at Omega, I suppose its my turn this month.

I came to Omega Machine & Tool in March of 2001 from a Pre IPO dot-com business. I was webmaster for six glorious weeks and then we lost our funding. Prior to that I had run my own business for 17 years, rebuilding standard transmissions and transfer cases. J.P ran into me while I was visiting one of my friend's shops and asked me to consider running Omega for him. I had used Omega products in my own business and was impressed by how they stood behind their products. The rest is, as they say, history. Here I am, maintaining and increasing our web presence and running a machine shop. In case things are really slow around there, more...

Featured part: 5R55N,W Flexplate aligner

The 5R55N/W/S uses an adapter plate to mount the torque converter to the flex plate. If you're not extremely careful or lucky, you will end up with a vibration at idle, or while driving. Cracked flex plates are also in your future.

Flexplate Aligner

This tool has one hole in the center for the snout of the converter and two dowel pins on the ends which fit into the adapter.

Set the tool into one round hole and one oblong hole in the adapter and then guide it over the snout of the converter, and you're good to go. Tighten down the converter bolts evenly and you're done.

Until next time, thanks for taking the time to read our newsletter!
